Organization Overview: BrightWave Digital is a boutique marketing agency serving 50+ e-commerce clients. Services include SEO, paid advertising, email marketing, and content strategy.

My Role: As a marketing intern, I supported the content and analytics teams. Responsibilities included: social media scheduling, monthly report generation, competitor analysis, and blog content drafting.

Key Projects:

Project 1: Social Media Audit - Analyzed engagement metrics for 12 client accounts, identifying best posting times and content types. My recommendations increased average engagement by 22% across test accounts.

Project 2: Monthly Analytics Reports - Built automated dashboards in Google Data Studio, reducing report generation time from 4 hours to 30 minutes per client. The template is now used agency-wide.

Project 3: Competitor Analysis - Researched 8 competitors' SEO strategies, producing a 25-page report that informed the agency's service expansion.

Skills Developed: Google Analytics certification (earned during internship). Advanced Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Client communication and meeting facilitation. Time management across multiple deadlines.

Reflection: This internship transformed my understanding of marketing from textbook concepts to practical application. I learned that data without storytelling is useless—clients need insights, not just numbers. I also discovered my interest in analytics, which I now plan to pursue through a minor in data science.
